According to the latest reports in the industry, Vetrimaaran’s Vaadi Vaasal is unlikely to take off with Suriya continuing to play the lead. The director is now in consideration to speak to Soori who is next in contention to play the lead in the film, following their partnership for the Viduthalai films.
Suriya had recently asked Vetrimaaran to complete Vaadi Vaasal between March and October this year, but that doesn’t look possible due to the director’s commitments for Viduthalai 2. We have to wait and see if there is any official word on this project soon.
