Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast has crossed the 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu as of yesterday (April 22nd), and has become the fifth film starring Vijay to do so, after Mersal, Sarkar, Bigil and Master.
Vijay is now the only hero in Kollywood to have five 100-crore TN grossers under his name, and though this is not his best in terms of the collections, the film came through a lot of negative reviews and a low week-day collection.
Beast will end up as Vijay’s 5th best grosser in both the Tamil Nadu and worldwide territories. The film has flown up high due to Thalapathy Vijay’s massive star power, which has helped it become a neat performer at the box office.
