Thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast is now the new record holder for the biggest opening weekend in Tamil Nadu, as the film has now grossed close to 95 crores in its first weekend, which lasted for 5 days. This is also the first film to break past the 90 crore mark in its first weekend, making it a new high!
Beast had also broken the record for the highest opening day in Tamil Nadu, which accounted for 38 crores. The film is all set to have a good number of shows in its second week too, with many screens still holding it for 4 shows a day. 100 crores mark in TN is set to happen anytime soon and also breaching 200 crores globally is not a long way ahead.
