Actor Rio Raj has officially unveiled the title of his upcoming film, which will be called Maddy. The announcement was made alongside the release of the film’s title poster, offering audiences their first glimpse into the project that marks an important addition to the actor’s growing filmography.

Maddy is described as a romantic comedy centered on love and light-hearted moments, promising an entertaining blend of humor and emotion. The film pairs Rio Raj with Malayalam actor Saniya Iyappan, who will play the female lead, marking another Tamil outing for the young performer after her recent appearances across South Indian cinema.

The title poster hints at a youthful narrative, featuring a cricket stadium setting along with symbolic elements that suggest a relationship-driven storyline. The film is written and directed by Karthikeyan BK, who makes his directorial debut with this project. Prior to stepping into direction, Karthikeyan worked as an associate director on several notable Tamil films, gaining experience across commercially successful productions.

Apart from the lead pair, the film will feature actors including Singampuli, Aju Varghese, and RJ Vijay in prominent roles. The project is being produced by Kalai Arasu under the banner Roll Time Studios, continuing the producer’s association with youthful entertainers and collaborative ventures in Tamil cinema.

On the technical front, music for Maddy will be composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, while cinematography will be handled by Praveen K Pothan. Editing responsibilities are entrusted to Lawrence Kishore. Further details regarding the storyline and release schedule are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Rio Raj was last seen in Aan Paavam Pollathathu and is currently involved in multiple projects, including another upcoming film titled Ram in Leela. Meanwhile, the actor has also ventured into production with his own banner, signalling an expansion of his creative footprint within the industry.

With a fresh pairing, debutant direction, and a rom-com premise, Maddy aims to appeal to younger audiences while continuing Rio Raj’s streak of relatable entertainers.
