The Madras High Court has declined to grant an interim stay on the release of Parasakthi, clearing the way for its theatrical release as scheduled.
A petition seeking to restrain the release of Parasakthi was taken up for hearing before the Honorable Justice Senthil Kumar Ramamoorthy. The film, directed by Sudha Kongara, stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa in lead roles. After hearing detailed arguments from all parties concerned, the Honorable Court refused to stay the release of the film, thereby allowing it to proceed to theaters on January 10th, 2026.
During the proceedings, senior advocate PS Raman appeared on behalf of director Sudha Kongara, instructed by advocate Vijayan Subramanian. Representing the producer, Dawn Pictures, senior advocate Aravind Pandikkan appeared, also instructed by advocate Vijayan Subramanian. Following careful consideration of the submissions, the Court ruled against granting any relief to the petitioner, effectively dismissing the request to block the film’s release.
With the legal hurdle now cleared, Parasakthi continues its promotional activities at full pace. The grand audio launch of the film is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Jan 3rd) at Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, and is expected to witness significant industry and fan presence.
Directed by Sudha Kongara and backed by strong pre-release buzz, Parasakthi is now all set to hit screens worldwide on January 10th, marking one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
