As anticipation builds around the upcoming film Kuberaa, stories from behind the scenes are painting a vivid picture of the unpredictable world of film-making. One such tale involves writer Shekhar, who reportedly spent two years crafting the screenplay, only to present the entire story over a 20-minute video call. The move surprised many, especially given the extensive buildup surrounding the project.
But the surprises didn’t end there. During the shoot in Tirupati, Dhanush was allegedly seen on road, under the scorching afternoon sun, calling out “Amma Thaye” and reportedly begging – an image that starkly contrasts the effort and expectation attached to his work. It’s a moment that underscores the raw, often unseen struggles that power the glamour of cinema.
At the center of Kuberaa is Dhanush, an actor whose film choices have consistently defied convention. Speaking about his eclectic filmography, Dhanush recently reflected on the variety of advice he’s received over the years.
“Some people advised me to do mass commercial films, others told me to focus on performance-driven roles. A few suggested rom-coms and family subjects,” he shared. “In the end, I think I’ve confused my fans really well – because now, any type of film can come from me at any time.”
Dhanush’s candid insight complements the chaotic, creative energy behind Kuberaa. With a story shaped by dedication, unpredictability, and an actor unbound by genre, the film is fast becoming one of the most intriguing releases on the horizon – both on and off the screen.
Kuberaa stars Nagarjuna, Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the film has been certified UA with run time of 181 minutes and is all set to hit the screens worldwide from this Friday, June 20th.
