The trailer of Gautham Karthik starrer August 16, 1947 was launched yesterday, and received a very good response from the audiences. The film which is slated for a release on April 7th is said to be a period drama based on a situation where a small village does not receive the news about the independence on time, and finds real meaning of the word freedom.
The trailer showcases the film’s grand scale, which also includes action sequences and a lot of interesting characters. NS Ponkumar directs this film which is produced by AR Murugadoss, and has music composed by Sean Roldan.
