According to the latest reports in the industry, it looks like it will not be Rashmika Mandanna but Malavika Mohanan who has come onboard the biggie Chiyaan61 to play the female lead. Ranjith had earlier said that there is a strong role for the female lead in the film, and Malavika is said to have caught onto that.
The shoot for the film is kicking off today at Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh, where Vikram, Ranjith and his team will be camping for 40 days. The film shot in 3D is produced by Studio Green on a grand scale.
