Producer Naga Vamsi has expressed immense confidence in Suriya’s upcoming film Vishwanath and Sons, stating that the family drama has all the ingredients to emerge as a major theatrical success.
Speaking in a recent interview, the producer revealed that his confidence in the film has only grown stronger following the blockbuster success of Suriya’s Karuppu. According to him, having watched the completed film, he firmly believes audiences will embrace it wholeheartedly.
“I have seen the film, and it is a 200 per cent blockbuster. People will enjoy it without any second thoughts. It is a sure-shot entertainer and a proper family film,” Naga Vamsi said while sharing his expectations for the project.
Directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath and Sons revolves around Sanjay Vishwanath, an accomplished pistol shooter in his forties. The story takes an emotional turn when a young woman named Maddy enters his life and develops feelings for him despite the considerable age difference between them. The film explores how their relationship impacts their lives while unfolding as a family-oriented emotional drama.
Apart from Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, the film features an extensive supporting cast that includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sre, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik and Master Charvik.
The project is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting the film. The music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography is handled by Nimish Ravi, and editing is by Navin Nooli. Vishwanath and Sons is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14.
Following Karuppu, Vishwanath and Sons is one of the most anticipated films in Suriya’s upcoming slate. The actor also has two more projects in the pipeline, including films directed by Jithu Madhavan and TJ Gnanavel.
