Nadigar Sangam thanks the state government!

The South Indian Artists Association has issued a press note thanking the officials of the State Government who have helped to end the theatre strike that lasted 4 days from 3rd July to 6th July in Tamil Nadu protesting against the municipal tax.

In the note, they specifically thanked Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, T Jayakumar, SP Velumani, KS Veeramani and Kadambur Raju. The Nadigar Sangam also mentioned that they are really happy that the State Government officials spent two days time with the film fraternity amidst their busy schedules to sort the issue out.

It has been reported that these four days have been a big loss for the entire Tamil film industry but it looks like there is some light at the end of the tunnel. The Nadigar Sangam also stated that the idea of forming a committee with members from both the State Government and the Tamil film industry was a very good move that needs to be appreciated.
